Description: After decades of protests by the nonprofit activist group People for the Ethical Treatment of Guitars or (PETGUT), the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame finally came to a compromise today. "Instead of dramatically smashing their guitars to pieces on stage, in front of thousands of adoring, sweaty fans – like a sorcerer performing a blood sacrifice on the altar of the Gods – musicians are now required to use designated recycling bins, which are provided in safe locations, out of the reach of fans," said Hall of Fame spokesperson Idel Violence. To educate rockers, the Hall of Fame will be plastering the backstage areas of venues world wide with a modified version of the "Please Recycle" graphic. To ensure a wider reach, they will also be affixing stickers to bottles of Jim Beam, prescription drug containers, and the restrooms of the Promises Residential Treatment Center in Malibu.
