Description: The Air Force announced today that it is changing its tradition of allowing flight crews to write messages on bombs intended for their targets. From now on, officials say, the messages must be of a helpful or encouraging nature for any innocent civilians who may find themselves in the path of the bombs. "We're not saying that flight crews are no longer allowed to 'personalize' their payloads," said Air Force spokesman Lt. Josh Stanley. "We just want them to make sure that, before they rain down holy hell on everything that walks or crawls within a two-mile radius, they send a positive message." He added, "After all, not everyone down there is a bad guy." Examples of approved messages that have already been used include, "Say No to Drugs," "Stay in School," "Child Obesity is no Laughing Matter," and "Remember to Have Your Pets Spayed and Neutered."
