Description: Explorer Dr. Luke Landers designed the EQ3 (or as we like to call it - The Columbus) to withstand the most arduous conditions. Its 3” neoprene brim provides maximum neck and head protection from the sun and it has a nylon stow-a-way shield that drops across the back of the neck for extra solar or wind defense. Durable 10 oz. Cotton canvas construction is rain and mildew-resistant and the hat floats if dropped overboard. Rustproof brass ventilation grommets provide gentle heat relief, while the Coolmax headband keeps moisture off your head. The interior lining is a bright safety orange and the hat incorporates a hidden stash pocket for money or small valuables. Three external cargo pockets hold maps, matches or a pocketknife. Secured to the exterior are a lightweight compass and a removable LED flashlight. An adjustable cord keeps the hat secured in high winds. Machine washable. Available in black and khaki
